Calhoun-Gordon County Junior Mayor

2019 Junior Mayor – Abby Crowe

Abby Crowe was born in 2003, and is currently a sophomore in high school. She is an honor roll student at Calhoun High School. She spends most afternoons working at a local gym teaching gymnastics, and spending time with her brother, Hollis. She also enjoys participating in Calhoun High School’s award winning musical theater department. When Abby is not at rehearsal, she loves spending time with her family, friends and many, many pets. She wants to give credit to her amazing parents for her success, and looks forward to her future, hopefully, at the University of Georgia. She would like to thank God and all her supporters for helping her to be who she is today.

The Junior Mayor of Calhoun-Gordon County is an important program that raises awareness for the Family Resource Center of Gordon County and all of the programs offered by the Center. It also offers students in the community an opportunity to get involved with helping other children. In addition to being part of many community events, such as parades, ribbon cuttings, city council and county commission meetings, the Junior Mayor will learn about public service and local government. These students are encouraged to be a leader and make a difference in their community.
